What this Spanish vocabulary test measures

This test estimates your receptive vocabulary: the Spanish words you can recognize and connect with their most common English meanings.

An adaptive test from A1 to C2

Questions move through 25 curated vocabulary bands, from beginner Spanish to advanced words. Your result includes an approximate CEFR vocabulary level.

A fast result for every level

The challenge starts at one minute. Learners who reach higher checkpoints earn extra time, so advanced vocabulary can be tested without slowing down beginners.

A study list you can keep

Every word you miss or skip is saved for the session. Download the list afterward and use it to focus your next Spanish study session.

How the estimate works

A practical vocabulary estimate, not a formal CEFR exam.

Your result is the highest level you have passed when the timer expires—not the level of the question currently on screen. Reaching Levels 6, 12, 16, 20 and 23 adds 30 seconds at each checkpoint. Missed and skipped words are added to your study list. Each dropdown contains nine meanings from the same part of speech, and the curated list excludes cognates so familiar-looking words cannot inflate the result. CEFR labels are approximate and describe vocabulary breadth only.
